The volunteers and trained staff at the Lifeline Fund’s numerous school projects in Malawi are all committed to the development of the orphaned children in their care, nurturing them from infancy to adulthood. The work the Lifeline Fund has been doing in Malawi over the last ten or so years has been a resounding success, and more importantly, absolutely crucial to the futures of these promising young children.
The Lifeline Fund’s most advanced project is the Namisu Orphan Village near Blantyre. The children who currently reside in the village and attend the fully-equipped school there were desperately in need of help when the organisation found them. Nowadays, and thanks to the food, healthcare, classroom and practical education they receive at Namisu, these same children are now happy, healthy and confident.
Most importantly, these disadvantaged children can now look forward to a more hopeful future than they could ever hope for before they came to the Namisu Orphan Village. Kind and knowledgeable tutors teach them how to provide for themselves when they leave the Village as adults, and many go on to receive enough education to become doctors, architects or even teachers themselves.
At the Namisu School, girls are given just the same opportunities and attention as boys, and all of the children are encouraged to laugh and play, learn and develop as they grow up.
