Due to their tireless efforts and many ongoing projects in Malawi, Africa, the Lifeline Fund has helped more than 3,658 people to date. They have provided this number and many more desperate, underprivileged and needy people with food, medical care, education, and clean, safe water. More importantly however, the Lifeline Fund has helped these people to live happy, independent lives by showing them how to maintain a sustainable and productive lifestyle.
Important facts and figures
• 1008 underprivileged orphan children cared for at the Namisu Orphan Village and the Namarita project
• 74 orphaned babies rescued via the Lifeline Infant Rescue Programme
• 496 elderly and disabled people provided for with monthly food and healthcare provisions
• 800 orphan students educated to secondary school level because of Lifeline funding, which covers schooling costs, exam entrance fees, school uniforms and books.
• 160 students benefitting from vocational training after graduating from the Lifeline Orphan Scholarship Fund
• 3,000 people now have access to clean, safe water from the new Kasambwe borehole
• 500 children getting a quality education at the new Namarita school
• 650 hungry children provided with three nutritional meals a day due to agricultural development and the introduction of sustainable farming techniques at Namarita
All of these figures are evidence of the Lifeline Fund’s considerable achievements in Malawi, as a result of which, many people’s futures are now looking a lot brighter.
